Crucial to know the following and acknowledge them that they exist and correct them ASAP will go a long way in preventing your cardiac risk!

  • If your triglyceride to HDL ratio above 2
  • Waist circumference indicating overweight or obesity
  • High blood pressure

Please know If you have 3 out of the following 5 indications of metabolic syndrome:

  1. insulin resistance,
  2. high triglycerides,
  3. low HDL,
  4. hypertension
  5. Increased serum Ferritin level(In menstruating women, this is usually not an issue since they lose blood on a monthly basis. This is actually part of why postmenopausal women have a decreased risk of heart disease).

In men, iron levels can rise to dangerously high levels. the majority of adult males and postmenopausal women have elevated levels that put their health at risk. Checking iron levels is easy and can be done with a simple blood test called a serum ferritin test.

It is an important test that everyone should do on a regular basis as part of a preventive, proactive health screen. If levels are high, please donate blood a few times a year.

you might want to add healthy fats to your diet and remove unheathy fats and carbohydrates to bring the balance back as well as reverse insulin resistance:
